The curving exterior of Barcelonas Casa Batllo astounds with its irregular beauty. The building was designed in 1904 by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi. Locals have nicknamed it the house of bones because of its bone-like pillars. The buildings interiors are every bit as curvilinear as its facade. Intended as a residence, the Casa now serves as a museum and event space. Its sculptural roof is said to represent the battle of Saint George and the dragon. Even the highest peaks of Casa Batllo show the finest of detail.
