Visitors to London often flock to Buckingham Palace and entirely overlook the lovely Kensington Palace. The Royal Family has dwelt here since the 17th century and it is still in use. This serene palace is currently home to the Dukes and Duchesses of Gloucester and Kent. The palace is famously known as the birthplace of Queen Victoria and the home of Princess Diana. The last reigning monarch to inhabit the palace was King George II, until 1760. Kensington Palace is open to visitors; the scenic gardens and palace exhibits are well worth seeing. The palace features a collection of court dresses and the bedrooms of famous royal women.
