I like Kerala. I feel as if each Keralian represents the civilised Kerala and their culture. I don't find it elsewhere in India.

There is more than one boat race in Kerala during Onam, so you can experience it even if you can't make to one of them. You should be able to find information about them from sites that cover Onam.
