i saw your video about alongapo and altough i am pleased for the local people at the same time i am saddened.i was in the navy and stationed on the uss midway in 1974-1977 and spent time in alongapo.it looked different back then and im sure it was much different then than it is now.i know the philippino people want mor modernization and commerce in thier city but i live in the united states and am completely surounded by commercial modernization.my memories of alongapo without the commercail modernization was what held much charm.i hate to see to much modern world come to the beautifull city of alongapo.it's funny everyone in the philippines wants to move to america(not everyone)and right now i would love to live in the philippines.i am desperate for a simpler way of life and have grown very weary of the stressfull lifestyle here in the states.i payed $1.17 for one tommatoe in the grocery store the other day.
